This week though we found out that
our calculations on how many ks (kilometers on our car) we had left was
wrong. So we successfully did not put a single k on our car for two days
this last week. But, in doing so we walked quite the distance in 4 hours.
From North Battleford to Battleford. For those of you not familiar with
the geography of Saskatchewan There is a river between these two
cities. In all it's about 7.5 kilometers from our apartment to the
church. It was quite a walk for someone like me who hasn't hiked in
ages. It did make me want to get into shape for when I get back and
actually can go on hikes in real mountains :) But, from that I think I
strained my left hamstring and both of our feet were rekt from that
walk. I think the scariest part about all of it is that the only place
that there is a sidewalk on this road from North town to south town was
on the bridge. On our way back up there was this car that came rocketing
down the hill from North Battleford and came busting right past us. It
was crazy. We could hear it from way across the river valley.
So
I was also wanting to talk about what we learned at Zone conference
from last week. In essence we talked about drawing down the powers of
heaven and how to do that. One of the things that really stuck out to me
was differentiating Faith as a principle of action and as a principle
of power. Another thing that we've been doing was training our thoughts
because we learned that thoughts are the beginning of desires. So over
the past week we've been asking each other and the meadow lake elders
where are thoughts were to try and help us learn how to control our
thoughts. It's come up with some interesting things but overall it's
been helping :) It was such a good experience and I felt like the entire
thing was geared towards helping me. It was so good :)
I
think that's all I have time for but I love you all and next week I'm
going to be finding out transfer calls. It's crazy that it's so soon
even though it's a 7 week transfer. Love you all. Potatoes gonna potate
;) I hope you all had a wondrous Easter
*from my email*
(I asked him what ways they use to find people.)
Right now the main things we do to find people to teach are go around
street contacting and getting referrals. It's worked fairly decently but
this last week has been slow for that. We did the most finding we've
done for ages but we didn't do so well or something because we really
didn't talk to many people.
This has been a pretty good Easter. The videos that the church put out,
mainly the #Hallelujah and the virtual Hallelujah Chorus really hit me
at this time. I love the message that it brings about how those people
who passed away we can see again and they will be resurrected. The
Hallelujah Chorus really helped me feel the worship of Jesus as our Lord
and Savior and that he will one day come again and reign over us. I
absolutely loved it.
