Franglish

So in all honesty this was a fairly average week. That being said there were some new things we did this week.

First of all we were finally able to see Stephanie again after her stay in Sandy Bay. So that was very good. She's doing well enough. She got her first exposure with Christians who don't think we're Christians so that was fun. Sidenote: Canada is getting to a fairly Spiritually dead point because of the progressive motives of society. So the highly religious group is the baby boomer generation who keeps their ideals strong and the counteractive people to the spiritual decline of society. #oppositioninallthings So those who are religious are very religious and those who are not are very not. Which tying it all together can lead to some confusion when a friend wants to bash with missionaries they meet on the street in Winnipeg. And then send a text to you to forward to your own missionaries. It's been a fun week ;)

But, not all is bad. We were able to spend a goodly amount of time in St. Claude and visit some members we haven't seen for a while in the area. Which for the most part were more friendly than the ones in Portage. In the process we got a dinner at the Branch Presidents house which was great.

Which reminds me we were able to take another trip out to Holland which is always a good time. While there we learned about a few more French towns which we might be visiting soon.

Other than that Church was good. Jesus the Christ class was good. Life is good. Snow mold is not good ;)

Anywho I've got to wrap this up. Have a great week. Don't injure yourselves. Except those of you that have already injured yourself. Don't get more injured and my prayers are with you

DINOSAURS!

First of all this will probably be short so I apologize. #missionlife
But, This week I about died from excitement. I was able to go down to Winkler for exchanges with Elder Blommeart and one of the things we did was do service at a fossil museum. It was so legit! At this museum they have the largest Mosasaur skeleton on display in the world. They even have a plaque from the Guinness World Records to show off :) On top of that they had a room dedicated to plastering bones and brushing them off and what not. It was so fun to see. Finally we were able to help set up their new part of the museum which is dedicated to the differences between Dinosaurs and Marine reptiles. In the which they had a Allosaurus skeleton, a Trex skull and an Edmontosaurus Thigh bone. The last was Elder Blommearts favorite because it's from Edmonton like him. If you look up Bruce the Mosasaur you'll get a look at what he is. It was so much fun :)
I'll hopefully get some pictures from Elder Blommeart for next week.

Other than that it was a pretty usual week of what missionaries do. Like Talking to random people and trolling around the rez. Speaking of which, if any of you could find anything on what Joseph Smith said about the Remnant of the Lamanites that would be peachy and I would love you if you sent me some info. I asked President Craig about that and he sent me to a compilation of scriptures that another missionary in this mission found about that but, I'm looking more for church history stuff as well.

One more thing for those of you in Cache Valley. The Judge was joking with us that Lake Toronto got displaced to Portage. So we're dealing with Flooding as well. Luckily not as bad as you ;)

Anywho I love youz. I hope you all have a great week

Zone Conferences and French Towns

So as many of you know Canada is known for having two official languages. Well I got my first taste this week of the other official language. Because my comp is from French Canada, Montreal, we went down to St. Claude and tracted around. Pretty much everyone we talked to down there is bilingual. Luckily for me ;) It was a good time. Elder Dagenais was enjoying speaking his first language I'm sure. He's always happy when someone compliments his english. To go along with this we got some Le Livre de Mormon this week so we wouldn't be unprepared. So after we got them I tried reading French and I slaughtered it. Just destroyed it. I can copy fairly well but, there ain't no way I would be able to pick up a french thing and read it in a way that anyone can understand. So to preserve my dignity I had Elder Dagenais read a bit of Das Buch Mormon. It was a good time. Plus Elder Morales came up this week as well and threw in a bit of Spanish for us.

This week we also finally got to see the broadcast where we found out our new schedule. It's something that I'm needing to figure out still but it works quite well. It was good to see President Craig as usual.

After the Conference we went to the Papuseria again which is always a good time. It's fun to be almost a part of the Spanish District. They're a fun group of Elders. It's not so fun when they start talking about their secret things in Spanish though ;)

Also (shout out to Connor) this week is the week of my 18 month mark. The big 18 months... It's gone by way too quickly. I don't feel like I should be at this point in my mission but, here I am.

Anywho That's all I got for this week. I love youz. Have a great week and for those in the good old Valley don't go insane while the sewer system is constipated.

The Sleep of Deadness

So this last week has been one of sleep and rest. I don't know exactly what befell me but, Elder Dagenais was sneezing, blowing his nose, and dealing with a sore throat while I was just dead. So honestly not much happened this week. We were pretty much quarantined through the week. Whenever we did go out I would go home and pass out hard but, Life is coming back to me and today I feel much better.

A few highlights:
Church in the afternoon was a bit different but because I was still on the sleep of deadness routine it was similar to having church in the morning. However our first gospel principles class was a success even with two two year old twins in the class. They're quite the duo and we found out yesterday that they enjoy chasing "the red dot".

Had a nice talk with The Judge about the Judgement days. He's pretty sure we're all going to get the chip in our hands or forehead soon with Trump "the Antichrist" His words not mine. I don't know enough about current political scenes right now to get any opinions. Anywho I just like the way a guy back in North Battleford put it. "The end of the world is a lot sooner than we think. It's the end of the world for someone every day. So why is there so much worrying about this end of the world stuff just be prepared and it will be alright"

That's all I've got for now but, I love y'all and I hope y'all have a great week
